…okay here goes nothing - I made some…OCS for my favorite cartoon of all time - Ed Edd n Eddy. I’m pretty embarrassed about this because 1) Ocs…urgh, I feel unclean BUT too be fair they’re offspring. I wanted to try my hand at designing children based on mixing the traits of the parents 2) I hate sharing my sketchbook pages I feel naked and 3) EEnE is a show I hold in such high regard that I’ve never contributed much to the fandom out of fear of not doing it justice. 

BUT this is also an idea that will NOT leave my head until I share it so here we go - buckle in: 

BASICALLY the idea was if Eddy and Double D became a romantic couple (yeah, I ship it but who fucking doesn’t?), that the Kankers would start targeting ED and Ed alone. At first, this would be Ed’s nightmare realized, but as he gets a little more mature (and THEY get a little more mature, if ya catch my drift) he decides being the Kanker Boy Toy isn’t so bad. 

…even when he gets all three of them pregnant. In the same wild and crazy drunken night! Because Ed loves babies, he’d be so excited to be a new dad and would accept the responsibility of raising his spawn immediately (Even though the Kankers made it clear they weren’t going to help out much and Eddy and Edd through a SHIT FIT when he told them the good news)

So that’s how these little girls came to be: Mavis (May and Ed’s daughter), Hortense (Ed and Lee’s daughter) and Agnes (Marie and Ed’s daughter). Or as “Uncle Eddy” likes to call them “The Lumpettes”

Mavis takes after her “Uncle” Double D, Aggie takes after “Uncle Eddy” and Hortense is Daddy’s little girl. 

If I wrote a fanfic going into more detail/drew more rolling with this idea would anyone be interested? Because I have SO MUCH MORE written down about these girls and their dynamic with the Eds and the Kankers but I don’t want to embarrass myself any more than I already have…

This is so amazing, but there’s just one thing that’s irking me: simply for the sake of canon, I feel like Agnes should be Lee and Ed’s daughter, Mavis should be Marie and Ed’s daughter, and Hortense should be May and Ed’s daughter. Though that would change their respective looks and they’re perfect as they are.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! And I’m actually glad you brought this point up, because I figured someone WOULD mention it and I wanted to explain my reasoning a bit. 

I totally understand your reasoning, by the way. By your logic, Ed and Marie’s daughter, for example, should take after Edd because if Marie’s chosen “boyfriend” was Edd all those years ago, then she must have the most in common with Edd, thus it’d make sense for the kid with HER genes to take after Uncle Double D. And it’s sound logic

Except that when you think about it…Marie has NOTHING in common with Double D. The Kankers are not perfect female parallels of the Eds, which is way more interesting than that old cartoon cliche of “the love interest is a mirror image with a bow.” So I decided Ed and May’s daughter should take after Double D, because May at least showed an interest in science and learning in Hanky Panky Hulabaloo. And I thought if May has THAT over the other Kankers as far as commonality with Double D, then her daughter should be the one to take after him. 

 Same goes for the others. Marie is pretty sneaky and likes to maintain a rough-and-tumble appearance like Eddy, so I felt her daughter should idolize her Uncle Eddy. And while Lee is the leader of the Kankers, I think she’s really only the leader of them because she’s the oldest and the biggest. She’s pretty brutish so I thought her genes plus Eds would make a VERY interesting child who could follow in Ed’s giant and smelly footsteps.

oh god I’m so embarrassed but at the same time I love the idea of the Eds raising children had so much comedic potential to me that I couldn’t help my dang self!

Oh god help me mixing genetics is like my biggest weakness.

OCs I’m not huge on but I love the idea of kids. GENE SPLICING IS A WEAKNESS OF MINE THIS IS WHY I PLAY THE SIMS SO MUCH.

Plus this idea is cute and funny as hell, not even gonna lie.

I’m generally not big on OC’s either, but I also have a weakness for incompetent men raising children. I blame “Three Men and a Baby” for this. I think I was so nervous about posting EEnE OCs because of the KevEdd explosion and I …didn’t want to be associated with all of that…

Anyway, I’m glad you think this idea is funny and cute! That’s what I was going for - because EENE is a cute and funny as hell show <3
